Tucked away in the heart of Andalusia, surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills, you’ll find our charming boutique B&B: a place to truly unwind. Just 40 minutes from Málaga, near the charming white-painted village of Álora, Cortijo Valverde is your home away from home.


Our traditional Andalusian cortijo has been transformed into a small-scale, character-filled B&B with 7 spacious rooms, each with a private entrance, original wooden beam ceilings, and modern comforts. Lounge by the saltwater pool with a good book, enjoy the peacefulness of our garden full of greenery and hidden seating spots, or head out to explore iconic sites like the Caminito del Rey, Malaga, Ronda, Granada, or the lakes of Ardales.


Whether you’re seeking rest, nature or adventure, we’ll make sure you have everything you need. With warm hospitality, a generous breakfast and a setting that surprises you every single day.


All our rooms are including breakfast, which is served daily from 08:00 - 10:30 at our restaurant area.

Cortijo Valverde is set on a tranquil hillside in the heart of Andalusia, embraced by olive groves, swaying palms and endless skies. Step onto our property and you’ll instantly feel it: space to breathe, slow down, and simply be.


Our boutique B&B is surrounded by an expansive garden, full of hidden corners, shaded walkways and sun-drenched terraces. Whether you want to read a book under a tree, listen to the birdsong, or take a nap in the shade, there’s always a spot that feels like yours.


Cool off in our spacious swimming saltwater pool, stretch out on a sunbed with mountain views, or enjoy breakfast outside as the morning light spills over the hills.


We’ve carefully created an atmosphere where comfort meets simplicity, with thoughtful details that make all the difference.

Sometimes, the best days are the ones where you stay close to home, but still feel the magic of discovery. At Cortijo Valverde, a perfect day unfolds naturally, between peace, sunshine, and a touch of adventure. 8:30 AM – Wake up with the hills The first light slips through your window. Birds are already singing, and the olive trees gently rustle in the breeze. There’s no alarm clock here, just the rhythm of nature and the promise of a new day. Step out onto your private terrace with a fresh cup of coffee or tea, everything you need is in your room. Breathe in the morning air and take in the peaceful views before breakfast calls.  9:00 AM – Long, lazy breakfast Your day begins with a generous breakfast served by us. Fresh bread, local cheeses, granola, fruit, yogurt, eggs made to order, plus good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Sit back, take in the view, and plan your perfect morning.

Here are some of our favourite nearby adventures: all perfect for a spontaneous getaway. 1. Málaga: Culture, coast and city life (35 min) A vibrant mix of old and new. Wander through the historic centre, visit the Picasso Museum or explore the colourful street art in Soho. Enjoy lunch on a rooftop terrace or at a beachside. End the day with a sunset stroll along the marina.

Stayed here for a few nights and had a wonderful time. The whole place was spotless, with lots of charming touches in the rooms. The pool was beautiful, and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax in the gardens. We had dinner here both nights and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and it’s the perfect spot to truly unwind. Meet your new hosts — Vitto & Eva!? After years of dreaming (and a lot of “what if’s” over drinks in Amsterdam), we finally did it: we packed up, moved to Spain, and became the proud new owners of Cortijo Valverde! Since March 21st, we’ve been knee-deep in paint, plans, and plant pots ?️?: getting our beloved B&B ready for YOU. We both come from the hospitality world: events, boats, hotels, restaurants — you name it, we’ve done it. Eva studied Hotel & Event Management and worked and studied all over the world. Vitto was behind festivals and corporate events in Amsterdam, and pretty much every other kind of hospitality job you can imagine. So why Spain? Why here? Well… Cortijo Valverde was the first B&B we visited. And somehow, it never left our minds. Every other place was “nice, but not this.” Add in the breathtaking charm of Andalucía (honestly, nothing compares), and the decision made itself. ☀️ We can’t wait to open our gates and welcome our first guests at the end of April! It’s a lot of hard work (and a bit of chaos), but our hearts are fully in it. ? And let’s not forget Amy! ? Our sweet 12 year old schnauzer made the big move too and has already found her favorite sunny nap spots. She is already waiting to greet you with tail wags and cuddles! ?
