How many rooms do you have?
Cortijo Valverde is a small-scale boutique B&B with just 7 rooms in total: 5 Double Rooms and 2 more spacious Deluxe Rooms.
Our limited number of rooms ensures a peaceful atmosphere, personal attention, and plenty of space to relax. It’s part of what makes staying with us feel intimate, calm, and truly away from the crowds.
Do the rooms have air conditioning and heating?
Yes, all rooms have both air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort.
Is Cortijo Valverde adults-only?
We welcome guests aged 12 and older.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi in all guest rooms. The connection is strong enough to stream and cast Netflix or other apps directly to your TV. We have Google ChromeCast.
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes, we have a lovely saltwater pool with sunbeds and beautiful mountain views, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The pool is not heated during winter times.
Do you provide pool towels?
Yes, we provide towels for the pool.
Are pets allowed?
No, we do not accommodate pets from guests.
To ensure a calm and comfortable stay for all our guests and because we have our own friendly Australian Shepherd on the property, we’re unable to accept dogs or other pets.
Breakfast, Food & Drinks
Is breakfast included in all rooms? And what are the breakfast hours?
Yes, breakfast is included in your stay. It is served from 09:00 to 10:30 on our terrace or in the breakfast room.
Do you have a restaurant?
We don’t have a full restaurant, but we offer dinners several evenings per week based on demand. Think: 3-course menus, BBQ nights, or a homemade paella evening. Let us know if you’d like to join; we usually confirm availability a day or two in advance.
Is there a bar or drinks service?
We have an honesty bar filled with soft drinks, wine, beer and snacks: self-service, available all day. Just note down what you take and settle it at checkout. If we’re around, we’re happy to prepare drinks for you too!
Do you cater to dietary requirements?
Yes, with pleasure! Just let us know your needs (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies) in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Do I need a car?
Yes, having a car is necessary during your stay.

It gives you the freedom to discover the region at your own pace.

Yes, we offer free private parking right next to the entrance of the property.
Do you offer airport transfers?
We don’t offer our own transfer service, but we’re happy to recommend a trusted local taxi company.

What is the best way to get to Boutique B&B Cortijo Valverde from Málaga Airport?
We recommend renting a car in advance. Use Google Maps for the most accurate and direct route; driving time is about 45 minutes.

We are approximately 40 minutes by car from Caminito del Rey.
How far is the nearest town or restaurant?
The whitewashed village of Álora is just a 10-minute drive away and has a great selection of bars and restaurants.
What are some nearby attractions or things to do?
Popular sights include Caminito del Rey, Mijas, Granada, Malaga, Ronda, El Torcal Natural Park, the white village of Álora, and the historic town of Antequera. You’ll also find great hiking, wine tastings, and local markets nearby.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is possible between 15:00 and 21:00. Check-out is before 11:00.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, minimum of 2 nights.
Do you host weddings or private events?
Yes, we do.

What languages do the hosts speak?
We speak English and Dutch and basic Spanish.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (via email).
- Up to 30 days before arrival: free cancellation.
- 29 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount (deposit) will be charged.
- 13 to 7 days before arrival: 75% of the total amount will be charged.
- 6 days or fewer before arrival or in case of a no-show: 100% of the total amount will be charged.
